Phil Wyrick, Owner and Operator, concentrates on functional Cattle that are raised on grass with calving ease, high milk production, femininity and gainability on grass.
We do not concentrate on the show ring. However, we have owned and raised five National Champion Red Poll bulls.
The proof is in the pudding. Here's a quick overview of Esquire's success:
Our first National Champion Bull, 1979 Grand National Champion, 'Pinpur Pro,' is still recognized in many pedigrees. Pro was a son of 'Pinpur Baron,' the most famous Red Poll bull, ever.
Other bulls we have owned include: 1981 National Champ 'Walkaway,' 1989 National Champ 'G S Discovery,' Reserve Champions used in the 1990s such as 'S SBlueboy,' 'G S Limited,' and 'J F Challenger.'
In 2001 we developed 'Esquire Rolex,' who became the National Champion that year. We are using three sons of 'Esquire Rolex,' including 'Esquire X Calibur,' the Senior Champ in 2010 and 'Esquire Silver Chip,' the 2011 Senior Champion.
Our most famous bull is 'Esquire's Navigator,' the 2009 National Champ.
'Luther,' the 2014 National Champion and 'Esquire's Red Cloud,' the Reserve National Champion 2013, are both our next move to improving our genetics.
